About Truth

Admitting when you don’t know   10+

To help students understand that it is normal to not know everything and to encourage them to truthfully admit it   

  

Admitting when you’re wrong   8+    

To inspire the students to notice their mistakes and have the courage and humility to admit when they have made an unloving choice  


Being authentic   9+   

To inform the students about the importance of being authentic and about some of the consequences of being in facade     


Being right   6+     

To introduce the concept of right and wrong and to educate the students about the importance of being humble

   

Experiment   7+

To encourage the students to seek Truth via the Conscience or Experimentation  


God’s Truth   5+   

To explain to the students the difference between personal truth and God’s Truth, remind them that God’s Truth is available on every matter and to encourage them to ask for God’s Truth  


Honesty   5+       

To introduce the students to the concept of honesty and why it is an important quality to strive for 


How things flow   8+

To inform the students that liquids can only flow down from a Higher Source

  

How to get to know someone   8+

To encourage the students to get to know others and God 

 

Intention   8+

To inform the students about the importance of intention and to inspire them to question the motives for their actions  


Knowledge   8+

To inform the students that knowledge can only be acquired from a higher source and to discuss sources of Truth, such as the conscience, guides and guardians    


Love and Truth are joined   8+    

To explain to the students how Love and Truth are inseparable


Personal Feedback   8+

To introduce the concept of personal feedback to the students, encourage them to reflect upon all feedback given and evaluate with God’s Help what is true   

  

Preclusion   9+

To introduce the concept of preclusion to the students      


Self-Reflection   11+      

To educate the students about the importance of self-reflection and to inspire them to practice this in their daily life 


Sincerity   10+   

To introduce the concept of sincerity to the students and discuss its vital importance for a relationship with God   

  

The Conscience   9+  

To inform the student about the existence of the conscience and how to be sensitive to it      


The Truth doesn’t hurt   9+     

To explain to the students that it is not the Truth that hurts us but rather other people’s unloving actions and attitudes toward us


Transparency   8+     

To introduce the concept of transparency to the students, discuss why transparency is important and encourage them to be transparent with others  


What is the purpose of…?   10+

To inspire the students to develop a desire for discovering Truth and through this process open up the possibility of change in attitude    


Some Issues regarding Truth

Arrogance- Lack of Humility   6+

To introduce the concepts of arrogance and humility to the students, discuss the issues with arrogance and inspire the children to look at themselves honestly 


Denial   8+        

To introduce the concept of being in denial, discuss techniques we use to stay in denial and explain why denial is a problem


Desiring Ignorance   10+

To contrast the concepts of sincere and desired ignorance and encourage the students to stay curious and seek Truth  


False Beliefs   9+

To explain some issues of holding on to false beliefs, inform the students of how to change harmful beliefs and encourage the children to seek God’s Truth    


Pretending   8+

To introduce the concept of pretence to the students and encourage them to be authentic      

 

Secrets   8+    

 To help students distinguish between a good and a bad secret and encourage them to talk with a grown up about secrets that make them feel uncomfortable 


Stealing      7+

To introduce the concept of stealing, the role-on effects that can happen from stealing and discuss honest ways of getting what we want or need  


White Lies   8+

To introduce the students to the concept of white lies, explain why they are not harmless and explain the snowball effect of sin  


Withholding Truth   5+

To inspire the children to think about the negative impact of withholding truth   


Withholding Truth and Loyalty   10+

To encourage the students to always tell the truth, even in the face of opposition
