YEAR 1


Term 1

Week 1: Ethics-Golden Rule 

To introduce the students to the concept of ethics and the golden rule. 


Week 2: Uniqueness and Personality

To give the students an understanding of their own uniqueness and  the uniqueness of others and initiate a sense of wonder about God who created us.


Week 3: Beauty in Nature

To inspire the students to develop a desire to notice and appreciate natural beauty 


Week 4: Gratitude

To introduce the concept of gratitude to the students and inspire them to notice the positive things and people in their daily life


Week 5: Free Will

To inspire the students to explore their Free Will, Passions and Desires and to start thinking about the effects their choices might have on others


Week 5a: Consequences

To educate the students about consequences to our actions, about the responsibility of how we use our will, the importance of admitting our mistakes and making amends 


Week 6: Responsibility

To introduce the principle of responsibility to the students, why it is important and what it encompasses 


Week 7: Desires and Passions

To inspire students to think and feel about their passions and desires and to convey the importance of finding one’s own path in life


Week 8: Friendship

To educate the students about what it means to be a good friend  to someone and about appropriate ways of making new friends


Week 9: God

To give the students some basic information about God and encourage them to ask for God’s Love


Week 10: Consideration

To inform the students about the meaning of consideration, discuss the importance of consideration and what it might look like in their daily life and to inspire them to take more considerate actions.


Term 2

Week 1: Emotions

To explore the students’ emotional vocabulary, provide a safe space for them to get in touch with their emotions and explain what emotional self-responsibility is and why it is important


Week 2: Faith

To encourage Students to build their Faith in God by looking for Proof of God in their Surroundings


Week 3: God’s Love

To introduce the students to the emotion of Love, the concept of God’s Love and how to receive it


Week 4: Honesty

To introduce the students to the concept of honesty and why it is an important quality to strive for


Week 5: What to do with Anger

To educate the students about Anger and safe ways of expressing it


Week 6: Ownership-Looking after your Belongings

To inspire students to appreciate and look after their and others’ belongings


Week 7: Happiness

To educate the students about the fleetingness of emotions, inspire them to express all their feelings and introduce the concept of addiction


Week 8: Worry

To inform the students that everybody worries sometimes and that talking about problems can help in finding a solution


Week 9: Wonder

To awaken the students senses to wonders in nature


Week 10: Kind Humour 

To raise awareness in the students how their actions and humour can hurt others and inspire them to be ethical


Term 3

Week 1: Learning

To discuss the importance of learning and of the desire to develop morality


Week 2: Grief

To invite the students to share about some grief they felt, educate them about the benefit of allowing their tears to flow, create an opportunity to connect with some old grief and give the student the tool of a feeling exercise


Week 3: Unconditional Love

To introduce the concept of unconditional love to the students and to inspire them to set loving boundaries


Week 4:  Fear

To explain the difference between instincts and fears, discuss how some fears can limit our lives and to  inspire the students to allow the feeling of their fears


Week 5: Withholding Truth

To inspire the children to think about the negative impact of withholding truth  


Week 6: Gifts

To teach the children about the nature of a true gift and inspire them to look at their attitude (gratitude, expectation, entitlement) about receiving gifts


Week 7: Abundance

To introduce the concept of abundance to the students and inspire them to develop gratitude and a feeling of abundance on a spiritual level


Week 8: Jealousy

To discuss the feeling of jealousy, create an opportunity to experience the emotions around it and for the students to appreciate their assets


Week 9: Comparison

To explain the futility of comparison to others and inspire the students to measure their own progress honestly


Week 10: Trust

To introduce the concept of trust to the students and how to  determine if someone is trustworthy and to encourage the students to develop trust in God


Term 4

Week 1: The Soul

To introduce to the students the concept of our soul


Week 2: Relationship with God

To educate the students about different types of relationships, the nature of a relationship with God and how to start having one


Week 3: Courage

To educate the students about courage, why it is an important quality to have and how to develop it


Week 4: Teasing 

To educate the students about boundaries and to inspire them to consider other people’s feelings and act ethically


Week 5: Shame

To introduce to the students the feeling of shame, why we have shame and the potential benefits of having it


Week 6: Bossiness

To encourage the students to inspect their own level of bossiness, show the difference between bossiness and boundaries and give the children tools to respond to the bossiness of others


Week 7: Resilience 

To inform the students about the meaning and importance of resilience and encourage them to get back up when things are hard


Week 8: Loneliness

To talk with the students about the emotion of loneliness, where it may come from and giving them healthy strategies to deal with it


Week 9: What plants need to grow 

To introduce the students to the basics of gardening


Week 10: Cause and Effect

To introduce the principle of Cause and Effect to the students, inform them of the benefits of considering cause and effect and encourage them to examine causes and effects in their daily lives.
