YEAR 3


 Term 1

Week 1: Gratitude 

To introduce the concept of gratitude to the students and encourage them to notice and treasure the good things in their lives


Week 2: Giving Things a Go

To encourage the students to try new things, overcome self-doubt and be curious about learning


Week 3: Tone- How we sound to Others

To illustrate to the students how tone of voice, emphasis and misunderstandings can cause conflict and encourage them to  


Week 4: Autumn

To talk with the students about the characteristics of autumn


Week 5: God is reliable

To inspire the students to have Trust in God 


Week 6: Self-Pity

To introduce the students to the concept of self-pity, explain the difference between a tantrum and feeling emotions and encourage the students to practice acceptance, gratitude and action


Week 7: Self-Acceptance

To inspire the students to inspect the relationship they have with themselves and to promote healthy self-esteem


Week 8: Overcoming Fear

To help students differentiate between a dangerous situation and being limited by fear


Week 9: Envy

To explore the feeling of envy, remind the students of feeling through their emotions and to remember being grateful for what we can do and for what we have


Week 10: Helpfulness

To inspire the students to reflect on their willingness to help and to be independent and encourage them to be helpful without micromanaging


Term 2

Week 1: Regret

To remind the students to avoid unloving action and to take opportunities when they are offered.


Week 2: Guardians

To introduce to the students the concept of Guardian Angels, explain their role in our life and inspire the children to trust and communicate with their Guardian 


Week 3: Metamorphosis

To inform the children about the process of metamorphosis in nature and nurture their wonder about it


Week 4: Standing up for Others

To encourage the students to stand up rather than stand by


Week 5: Integrity

To explore with the students the concept of Integrity and to inspire them to develop a strong sense of honesty and morality


Week 6: Winter

To talk with the students about the characteristics of Winter 


Week 7: Where does my food come from?

To help the students realise where their food comes from and to be more aware of the people involved in the production of it


Week 8: Exclusion

To explore the concept of exclusion and encourage the students to include others wherever possible 


Week 9: Secrets

To help students distinguish between a good and a bad secret and encourage them to talk with a grown up about secrets that make them feel uncomfortable


Week 10: God's Will or what would Love do?

To introduce the students to the concept of God’s will for us and how to determine what love would do


Term 3

Week 1: Empathy

To introduce the students to the concept of unique experiences and the importance of empathy


Week 2: Mammals 

To introduce the students to mammals, their habitat and diet and inspire them to marvel about the diverse range of mammals


Week 3: Birds

To teach the students what defines a bird, inspire them to marvel at facts about birds and to use their creativity and imagination


Week 4: Champions of the Animal Kingdom

To introduce the students to some champions of the animal kingdom and inspire the students to trust that has God created us all with different talents


Week 5: Laughing

To learn about the benefits of laughter and the difference of laughing with and at people


Week 6: Love and Care for Animals

To inform the students about animals’ needs and body language and to inspire them to treat every animal with respect and to teach them what loving and caring for animals looks like  


Week 7: Special Treatment

To discuss the concept of rules, determine what makes a rule ethical and to allow the students to experience how wanting special treatment can easily cause controversy 


Week 8: Spring

To talk about different phenomena pertaining to Spring and the benefit of having a positive attitude about change


Week 9: Perseverance-Keep trying 

To introduce the students to the concept and importance of perseverance and inspire them to try new things and persist.


Week 10: Paying Attention

To encourage  the students to pay attention and be caring to others and their environment  


Term 4

Week 1: Dares, daring actions and consequences

To encourage the students to consider safety and kindness when playing dares 


Week 2: Flowers

To inform the students about flowers, their qualities and  purpose  and to inspire the children to notice and enjoy the beauty and scent of blossoms


Week 3: Trees

To inform the students of the importance of trees and to inspire children to look after them 


Week 4: Love and Care for Plants

To inform the students of the benefits of plants and to inspire the children to treat all plants with care and love


Week 5: Patience

To inspire the students to reflect on their own level of patience and on how their impatience might affect others and to find ways that might increase patience


Week 6: Don't give away what isn't yours

To explain the concept of ownership to the students and inspire them to share and give only what belongs to them


Week 7: Prayer

To inform the students about prayer, what to remember for prayer to work and to inspire the students to experiment with prayer  


Week 8: Summer

To talk with the students about the season of Summer and its characteristics


Week 9: Protection

To introduce the students to the concept of safety, inspire them to have faith in God’s protection and to use protective gear when needed


Week 10: Things to find in Nature

To encourage the students to spend more time in Nature
